It’s OK Not To Be OK
It’s ok not to be ok. Many people walk around appearing to be “ok” on the outside while on the inside they are not “ok.“ The question is why.
The belief the not being ok is a sign of weakness
The thought that if I share that I am not “ok” people will use it against me.
The fear that no one will understand why I am not “ok.”
The truth is you are not the only one. Being able to say you are not ok will open you up to the healing process from whatever it is that is keeping you in that feeling. You may even be surprised at the reactions of others, especially since many have been in the same place. Here are some ways to help you to be “ok.”
Be honest with yourself about how you are feeling and don’t feel guilty, because you are not the only one.
Be honest with other by finding a support system/ therapist that you can share your feelings with.
Trust that you will get better. This can be done by processing your feelings with your supports and being open to learning how to heal or cope with negative emotions.
Remember that it is ok not to be ok but its also ok to ask for help.
